On a somewhat almost daily basis I look for compassion in my fellow citizens of this planet we call our home. And it is sad to say i see less and less of it. I was raised to always lend a hand or a smile and also to put yourself in someone else’s shoes. And most importantly try not to judge or ridicule. But each and every day I see the exact opposite of that. One example when a person would confide in a friend and share a piece of their life with them, you would think that person would listen whole heartedly to what they have to say and maybe even lend some words of wisdom or show some compassion.Well too often than not that other person will go right on to what is wrong with ‘their’ life and totally forget what you were saying. Not showing an ounce of compassion. This to me leads to me not trusting to confide in them anymore and it also takes a bit of your heart away. You trusted this person to talk to and all they did was go on and on about their life. Wow. It hurts and it can make it that much harder to trust and confide in another again. I get it, everyone is fighting their own battle in life but I believe that every person needs care and to be shown compassion. It doesn’t cost a dime. And you would be surprised how much a little would make someones day. I even mean when your a 4 way stop and there is a car across from you why not give wave to say hey go first. That little thing can make such a difference in someones day. My mother always told me it is the little things in life that go a long way. Try a little compassion today. Trust me you will feel good about and leave a positive mark in the world. Thanks for reading.
